My white friend married to a black man deleted me off FB today for not being sympathetic to the plight of the oppressed black man.

All this protesting to effect change. Doesn't the black community have a responsibility to lead the way through change within their community? Isn't it their responsibility to show us how they want to be treated through example in how they treat each other?

You'd think.
But that would require taking responsibility for yourself.

So, I understand they're banning No-Knock Warrants as part of the "reform". I know that she, Breonna Taylor, was killed during one. It was definitely a clusterf^ck of a situation since the police were at the wrong apartment and in the middle of the night according to what I've read. But, the police were fired upon first by her boyfriend. They returned fire. To me, the issue isn't the no-knock warrant. How about the police get the right residence to begin with. And how about they don't go in the middle of the night?
Just how much are we going to take away from police in order for them to do their jobs properly? I think no-knock warrants are an effective way for them to do what needs to be done in certain situations. Am I wrong?

I don't like the no knock warrants they always seemed wrong.

In the middle of the night the suspect is most likely home. I'm not sure how effective it would be to show up at their home when they are at work.
How about we don't fire upon police officers?
How do you know it's a police office when they don't identify themselves? Isn't that the point of having a gun? Protecting yourself when people break into your home?
Uh, because they identify themselves when they come in perhaps?
Once when I was in Las Vegas I was sitting in our room on the edge of the bed, naked from the waist up. My ex was in the shower. The door flew open (they knocked simultaneously) announcing, "security." As soon as they saw me they realized they had the wrong room and shut the door, apologized quickly, and went to the next room.
Ex came out a few seconds later and asked if someone had opened the door. I told him what had happened. We had a good laugh. I hope they found who they were looking for.

A no-knock warrant precludes announcing themselves until they are already in there in the middle of the night. Are you going to be like "give me a moment, I just want to find out if this person who broke in is a criminal or a good guy ... Oh, a bunch of people with big guns."

Because police are human there are always going to be an occasional cluster fvck or bad apple. The answer is not to do away with the whole police department and go without. That's like saying, "Gee, I got a defective piece of clothing so let me just go naked from her on out." The answer is to treat each situation and process it and punish it as needed. People are so stupid!

You will all think I’m nuts, but I think Floyd and the four cops were paid off to destroy Trump.
1. I find it odd that a career criminal suddenly has an awakening, posts a video against violence and is dead two days later.
2. Did you notice how unemotional all the cops were during the murder? I’ve never seen such coldness and dead eyes before that video.
3. Floyd’s families pleaded for the rioting to stop and then did a total about face the next week.
4. Al Sharpton took over.
5. The guys in black. The piles of bricks. The ice cream buckets filled with cement and the crowbars hidden in bushes. Something is to coordinated in too short of a time period.
Now I’m not saying anyone should die so horribly, it was sickening to watch, but something doesn’t smell right anymore.
Maybe I am nuts..😏

I have commented the same thing on another board and was told I had voices in my head. Well, I do, and from the start that voice has told me that something isn't right. Same with the virus. It feels manufactured to me. All of it.
The looting for sure. That was all planned out in advance. And as for Chaz now? Trump would be better off if he leaves them be. Let them implode. They want him to send in the military to cause a major civil war and make him look like a dictator. We all need to just let that hot mess go. Let them destroy the city. Then the world would see what kind of animals they really are.

I do believe that they were waiting for a opportunity to cause chaos and violence, It was to well planne. Yes I do believe Trump is in on their plot against them, the Seattle mayor is a complete Moran and I’m starting to believe she invited these goons to take over the city. If she was smart (which she isn’t) She would have all the utilities cut off, no food or delivery trucks in, and tell them if they want their own country they will have to provide their own utilitie, businesse, currency and have to have passports to go in and out, also we should send some border patrol to guard our borders with chaz. She is not only encouraging them, but helping them.

You're right. They should be left to their own devices. For real. And every other country has to go through customs to get into the states.
Anyways, when I called it that there would be a build towards severe civil unrest (I said civil war, tbh) I was told that I was crazy. One person even told me I was an idiot and turned his back to me.
*edit - I called it 4 years ago prior to T's election. When we knew he was going to win. Figured the liberals would pitch a fit then. It's taken them their sweet time!

This is the longest temper tantrum ever, this past 3 1/2 years has been nothing but trying to take down a a president.

I think we should build a perimeter around the kooks in Seattle. No one should be allowed in and let them have their protest. I wonder how long the would last without the media.

It looks like CHAZ will implode from the inside out anyways. A lesson to them about what it's like - sounds like it's getting a little Lord of the Flies in there. I feel bad for the people who live or have businesses in that area.

But not bad enough to support the military to take them out?

Are you asking me? I don't know, I'm not there.
I think maybe the money could be saved and just wait for them to take themselves out. That would be a better example to others when they talk about defunding law enforcement.
No. The military does not need to "take them out".
What needs to happen is to let it fail miserably. Become the poster child for all things liberal.
I will support the arrest and prosecution for anyone proven to have broken the established law.

I think it's plain out anarchy. Or some weird cult that's going to wind up with a charismatic leader and then a Waco style demise. Have they even thought about where their food is coming from? Are they paying heat, electricity, whatever? How are they making money? Be funny when the electricity and phones all get cut off. That actually might be the best way to get rid of them. You want to be autonomous? Ok. Here - we'll help you outline your border. Customs will be located at the exits and if you climb the walls you will be considered illegal.
