Good morning, Good Geeks!

Wayne and I are celebrating our 39th anniversary today.

I'm not sure what we're going to do yet. But, we'll think of something!wink

We had thunderstorms last night. I wasn't expecting that. But it was nice to get some rain.

We had thunderstorms last night as well. Got about a half an inch of rain but the thunder!

We'll go to Mass this evening and dinner after...a bit of normality.

rain on the way home from the
watermelon stand - just enough
to get the windshield dirty. 12
minutes waiting in line at the road
construction - yuck. But at least
they are working.

Good morning everyone! Happy Anniversary fwm! 🎉🌺 my husband and I have been married 39 years too, have a great time together on what ever you guys decide to do. Hello momala, njn, DE, FNW, and SB, hope you get some rest sb.

Not much going on, grandsons have been very active which makes me very tired in the evening. Bought a new car a couple of weeks ago and already a rock hit the windshield:(

Happy anniversary.

I ain't doin nuthin! Nothing important, anyway. Just have some things to put up that's been left laying around.

Doing a dip night for dinner. Making a beef and cheese dip, a chicken enchilada dip, a ranch dip, and some queso. We'll have chips, veggies, and tortillas to eat with it.

Ball games going on across the road. It's funny, the MLB isn't playing because of Covid-19, but these kids have been playing for weeks. Kids can distance better than adults, apparently.

Oh well. Happy Saturday.

SB looks like a cutting board. What type of puzzle is it?

I took all the large cardboard to the dump this morning. Organizing the pantry now. Need to take everything out and put it back in. Been purging older boxed food.

My potted plants on the deck (flowers) were not doing well. Discovered the larger pots I inserted the smaller pots into were not draining. The stench from the sitting water made me gag. Blech. I put a brick in the bottom of each pot to raise up the inserted ones. We had to buy a new folding table for the deck so we could spread out the veggie garden plants. They are doing well and I have at least 20 zucchinis starting to grow and cukes.

I love the new nesting tables I bought for the living room re furnishings project, so I bought another set. Already have the matching coffee table. Ordered the sectional yesterday. Next up club chairs and ottomans. can't wait for this bill next month. LOL

Really hot hear.

IKWTDS, last year DH planted some flowers in 2 pots out front and one flourished and the other died. I suspect he forgot to remove the plug in one because it didn't look like it would drain.

 Yeah, I screwed up.  All good now.  Rescued them before I totally killed them,

We planted ten acres of watermelons
and tomatoes. Selling them now at
the watermelon stand. Customers
are so happy to find veggies that
are pesticide free. All we put on
them is fertilizer and water!

About to work on another dozen
jars of Bread & Butter pickles - I
continually sell out - which is a good
thing. I bought some more jalapeno
peppers to pickle. I need to keep a
small amount out for samples.

My tomato plants are going crazy. My cucumbers are flowering and haven't even put up vines. My lettuce is still good. My pole beans are climbing high. My pepper plants are okay. My nasturtiums are going crazy. Some of my onions are good, some are fizzling out. My cilantro has bolted, but I harvested and dried them first. My parsley and basil looks good. My beets are getting some pretty good roots.

Well. My doin nuthin resulted in the fridge being cleaned out. It needed it.

I wish I could work a garden. Maybe next year.

FNW, I wonder what it is about tomato plants this year; mine are just going crazy, too, climbing higher and higher and just loaded with tomatoes.... If they ripen.....

Hot today and now on and off thunder storms. I did manage to get all the stuff I cleaned out of my basement pantry to Goodwill. So that is good. The shelves in the pantry are nice and organized.

The garden area Sprayed with weed killer is finally almost ready and safe for me to place more rocks and mulch it. I can't plant anything else this year there since the weed killer is, well, deadly. Managed not to kill the butterfly bush I planted last year or the flox. I think next weekend I will be able to finish that area.

The dog did not get a walk today but did run around the back yard. so there is that.

Sorry I am late to the party.

Congratulations on the new
car !

To help prevent the spread
of the chip in the windshield,
put a dab of clear nail polish
on it until you can get it
repaired professionally. The
nail polish will keep dust and
water out of the chip.
