Finally, a night without storms! Not that I slept very well. But, at least I can't blame it on the thunder.wink

Cate is coming down to play.

Paul got his vacation time scheduled, so we are planning our trip to Ohio to see my Mom in July.

Not much else is happening. How about you?

Beautiful day here. Not much humidity. Perfect for a drive! But sadly, I have to work. The gardeners are here so I'll go out after they leave and do a little weeding. There are some weeds I want to use roundup on. They are far away from my veggies so I think those will be safe.

I didn't see it today yet. I went up and harvested some beautiful beets. Kept the greens, too, to saute.

It's raining some where close by. Can smell and feel it.

Fireplace looks really good.
I really didn’t know her. Just a familiar face in the halls. Her husband is also a nurse at my hospital. He hasn’t been to work for a few weeks since he was exposed. They both also work (worked) at a nursing home. So does their daughter.
My hair salon just posted on FB that they are temporarily closed due to a client having covid. Thank goodness I was there before the client was.
Also, three restaurants in my county have closed due to sick employee.

We had a restaurant close because of a positive Covid-19 test. It closed for 3 days for cleaning and opened up again.

It's going to be interesting when school starts back, will they close for 2 weeks for every time there is a positive?

I was just reading our local FB page and a lady who works in a restaurant in town tested positive for covid-19. They shut down the restaurant until further notice.

A friend's mother, who has numerous health problems, became ill and was taken to the hospital. She tested positive for Covid so they put her on the Covid floor. They tested her again and she tested negative. They tested her a third time and lost the test. She has now been tested for the fourth time. It will probably be positive now, since she’s been on the Covid floor for 4 days now. Friend has 2 young children who had been alternating staying with the different grandparents since daycare was closed. Friend, her husband and 3 sets of grandparents have been potentially exposed.

I’m sorry SB, I’m glad my daughter doesn’t have to work with covid patients I still worry though. Our favorite restaurant closed after we ate there due to a employee having covid, fortunately he/she was working when they developed symptoms.

Thanks everyone. I am thrilled with how it turned out. Certainly makes the room brighter and cleaner looking. Funny story, I sent my sisters the pictures and coincidentally one sis not only had painted her fireplace but we have the same area rug.

 Current mantel is really just a top painted white. I want to  find someone to custom make one from reclaimed wood.
