I can sure tell I'm back in NoVA. Masks, gloves, etc. Didn't see that in Southern VA or Southern WV.
Ran to Trader Joe's to stock up for the weekend. Having my parents over Saturday for a pool party and fireworks. I have tomorrow off and will color my hair. Other than that, I plan to relax.
Local government voted last nights to make mask mandatory. Local sheriff's office says the they will not enforce it because it wasn’t constitutional. Could be interesting.
My weekend will be spent watching movies and cleaning out junk. I'm looking for a small storage unit, too.
Will watch fireworks from the porch on Saturday.
Oh. And I gotta pay bills today.
I won't be surprised if more counties make masks mandatory in public places.
Happy Thursday.

I see a lot of "Karens" being created in your town.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
We have done fourth crafts all week. Yesterday we made brownies and took peanut butter M&M's and made a flag on them. Today we made a cake and are going to use bananas, strawberries, and blueberries to make a flag. We sent the brownies home with the kids. We also painted a flag on a paper plate today. We did fireworks hand prints too. We're going to have cake and a peach pie for the fourth. Probably hot dogs and hamburgers. Tomorrow I only have one kiddo and I have to go to the lawyer and therapy. Should be an easy day.

Caitlyn organized spirit week at her day care. Of course it's a lot bigger with more kids, and they all get involved. Monday was tie dye day, Tuesday was camo, Wednesday was animal print, and today is red, white, and blue day.
Maybe that'd be something fun for your kids?
Around Christmas they do a pajama party day, they do all kinds of things throughout the year.

Lily, storage units are such a waste of money. If you have stuff that you don't use and don't fit in your house why store them? Just sell or donate.
It's for things like my Christmas stuff, I use it, but not all year. I have a lot of seasonal things.
And then we have Caitlyn's things, Jesse is planning to move out soon, and is buying furniture here and there.
It'll be for all of us. A small unit, 10x20 is $35 a month. We will share that cost. I think it'll be worth it.

Mom called to set up a covid test, she was told not to worry unless she begins showing symptoms.
It makes me question the validity of the tests, everything. I'm not saying it isn't something to take seriously, but only testing with symptoms, and not recommending quarantine, seams a little fishy.

Yep, especially since tests are in huge supply now.

I don't know what she has. She's my aunt's stepdaughter. My uncle has passed away, and her mother won't give out any information to my aunt. There's been bad blood there all our lives. Wendy (my cousin)'s son and husband and ex-husband are keeping us updated. But the family is gathering to say goodbye. They are in Oregon so obviously I can't make it. I checked in with her a couple weeks ago so she knows I care.

On another note, the baby daddy is here. He comes around the same time each Thursday. Stays about 30-45 minutes, and leaves. Jewel doesn't really have much to do with him, cries if one of us are not where she can see us.
Monster is doing much better! He still walks with a bit of an awkward gait, and he's down to about 8 pounds, but he's getting around and being territorial again.

DH sold out of our home-grown
tomatoes, so we went to one of
our local growers. While DH was
loading the car, grower mentioned
that his daughter was getting
married this weekend. Always
the entrepreneur, I asked if she
had her flowers yet. Grower
said probably not - it was going
to be a very small, informal (2nd)
wedding. He said she probably
didn't have any. Great opportunity!
I asked what her colors were - red,
white and blue, in honor of the 4th
of July! Happily, I have lots and
lots of r/w/b flowers, so I said I
would drop off a bouquet for her
in the morning. Hope she has a
fabulous day!
