I have a pair of canvas slip-on sneakers that are just a bit too short. The width is fine but they scrunch my toes a bit. I need to figure out a way to stretch them. Any ideas?
Dampen the canvas with a mist
of water. Stuff the shoes with a
major wad of scrunched up clean
newspaper - really, really stuff it
as hard as you can. Allow to dry,
and remove the paper.
Alternatively, dampen the shoes
and put in a couple of wads of
cotton in the toes Put on your
feet, and let them dry for a few
hours. Great excuse (reason!)
for sitting on the sofa for a
couple of hours !
If this doesn't work, invest in a
pair of shoe stretchers (Wal-Mart)
and insert them in the dampened
canvas shoes.
