Me too! Bah humbug!

It's kind of a dreary start to the day with lots of cloud cover left over from the storms yesterday. I'm okay with it because right now we're 20+ degrees cooler than yesterday and a nice breeze blows through occasionally.

Have a doctor's appt after work today. Just a check up.

Have a great day!

Good morning, my pretties!

More laundry. More packing.

Hot and humid, with more rain in the forecast today. It should be dry tomorrow, which I'm happy to hear.

I'd better get busy.wink

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

My essentials are here.

We got over 1.5 inches of rain. The pool needs to be drained off a bit. It's hot and humid. #2 has been sneezing with a runny nose and he thinks he's sick. I think he's tired and whiny.

Seems more faked cases of covid have come to light. Two nurses were getting suspicious when all their tests were coming back positive so they sent 20 unused swabs with fake names to the lab. All 20 swabs came back positive.

Good day all! Hope you have a good day Trudy, good luck on your check up FS, be safe on your trip fwm and have fun, hope your son feels better soon, and good luck with your pt njn. Njn, I don’t question the virus and I believe it’s real, I just question if there are those who will use a bad situation to their advantage, kind of like what happened with George Floyd.

Not doing much today, will get to babysit my precious baby granddaughter while my DIL takes the grand boys to a water park 💕

My ex just texted. He is showing signs of covid and they have him in quarantine. His first swab was negative. They are testing again. I do believe covid is real. I just believe the government is inflating numbers.

It's been raining off and on since sometime last night.

Caitlyn took Jewel to the doctor yesterday after work. Jewel has double ear infections. She started messing with them late Saturday night. She has antibiotics now, and is doing fine.

Happy Tuesday.

Hopefully it’s just a cold, will you have to be in quarantine if he doe, or was it long enough time since you last seen him?

Didn't they have some bad test kits a while back, that were somehow contaminated, with the virus?confuse

Maybe, there was another bad batch of test kits.

Just a guess. Thinking out loud.

I can't imagine, that our government, would want to inflate the numbers of cases.

To what end?confuse

No one wants more "stay at home orders", or more businesses shutting down. (At least, not from what I can see.)

If anything...wouldn't the government, want less cases testing positive? So, the economy can keep opening up?

I can't see why, our government, under President Trump, would inflate the numbers. (Why?)

(I'm concerned, that we have no good, solid numbers, at this stage of the game. And, they are probably much higher, than is being reported.

And, I think that, because early on, so many people had such a mild case, they didn't see a doctor, or get tested. On the bright side, while the cases in Texas have been rising, at an alarming rate, in Dallas and Tarrant counties, the death rate is low. It seems like the elderly, and people with underlying conditions, are being careful, and staying home, as much as possible.)

JMHO.

Testing is increasing so of course the number of cases reported will be higher. Our governor knows this and has stated as such. He looks at the hospitalizations and capacity. That was the purpose behind the stay at home orders, to keep the hospitals from getting over loaded, not to eradicate the disease.

I also know that doctors have been pressured into reporting a death as COVID related, even if the diagnosis was made post mortem and unrelated to COVID, because they would receive funding. So while the number of cases reported early on may have been under estimated, I suspect the number of actual COVID deaths was over reported.

Yes, the elderly see to be recovering better as well. There are treatments now which have been successful. Early on, they were dying more because the governors were filling the nursing homes with COVID patients to keep the hospitals clear. I know that happened in NY, NJ, and Cali, and probably elsewhere as well.

I do remember a bad batch of PPEs, maybe tests, too, in the beginning, some that were tainted. I think they originated from China, but I am not positive.

The WHO flip flops on whether asymptomatics can spread it. My guess is there would be an incubation period where someone would be contagious, much like the cold and flu. But I'm not an expert by any means, just someone who relies a lot on common sense.

The death rates are quite low in every state, even if the "cases" are rising.

Why would the government want a pandemic to last? Control.

They want it to continue to further ruin Trump's economy. Shut things down. They don't care about business owners.

That's the answer to all of it.

The democratic government wants to control every aspect of our lives.

Where we go, live, play, eat, work, spend, worship. Everything.

It's their love of self. It won't just be the democrats, either. The Republicans will begin to move to more control, too.

But people who are tested and come back positive have to be tested every 2 weeks, once they have 2 negative tests they are good.  But everyone on of their positive tests are added as individual cases is my understanding.

Yes, that is correct.  So you figure  divide the number of cases by 3 and that number would be closer.

Jesse just brought home his new to him Jeep. It's a dark blue, 2007 Patriot. He was able to pay cash for it. It's paid for. I'm so proud of him.

Lily, we had a Jeep Patriot. My son crashed it in February. Ours was a 2012 black model. We loved it. The only thing I didn't like was how high it sat off the ground. I had a hard time getting in and out of it with my bad knees. I absolutely adored our Dodge Nitro. My daughter crashed it many years ago. It was my favorite car of all of them. They don't make them anymore. I just recently bought my first car in 12 years. 2018 Dodge Journey. Three seater. I love it. I think Jesse will really love his Patriot.

Watching the 5 yo and her 19 month old brother all this weekend so mom and dad can lay wood flooring in the living room. So glad they have their own beds here. That crib I picked up for $25 was well worth every penny.

Week and a half and I am taking a long weekend at a B&B. SO looking forward to it. Then in September I have a four day weekend to go meet the BF's family. I really need these breaks.

Thanks. This is the first vehicle he has purchased on his own.

My favorite car ever, it's a tie. Between my 87 Buick regal, and my 99 Ford escort.

The regal was awesome, it was the perfect single girl's car. It was a V8, big block, with racing tires. I was a menace in that thing.

The escort was brand new. I drove that thing for 15 years. I went from a single woman to a divorced mother of 3 in that car. It was hard to let that one go. I took it every where. It was so fun to drive, and cheap on gas.

Told you so. I was talking to BF last night and he said the same thing. They don't care if the economy is destroyed as long as Trump doesn't get reelected. He should be really proud to have elicited so much reaction from people.
