I've figured it out. Remember Barbie dolls, the click, click, click of the knees when moving them? That's what my knees feel like when walking, sitting, or moving them at all.

So, Hippie Chick, aka my wrangler, is going topless today. She's getting a new roof on the front part where the freedom hardtops are for driver and passenger. I found it almost impossible for me alone to remove the hardtops and store them so she's only been topless two or three times. Now, I found this slick replacement that is like a soft top. It installs as a permanent replacement of the front hardtops and is retractable from the inside with a flick of a clip or two. It just folds right back and locks in place! No removing heavy tops or finding a storage place. Can you tell I'm excited!!!?!!! lol

It's a glorious day here with lots of sunshine and a slight cool breeze. That's going to change as the day progresses though. Heat and humidity are moving in today along with possible rain.

I love Mint Juleps! I had more than a few while at Greenbrier. I love the way they dust the mint leaves with confectioner's sugar.

No back to school shopping yet, lily. They wear uniforms, so I might need to order some new pants, depending on how much they grew since the school was closed in March. On days they do virtual class, they will at least need to wear their uniform shirts, but I believe those all still fit.

Supplies are delivered to the classroom by the company I ordered them from, and this year the supplies will go to the child which will not be shared. I like that and think that's the way it should have always been.

Big news here in Texas is the delay of school. No one knows for how long. SS's mom is a teacher here and says they are pushing for January. So who knows. Governor is also talking about shutting everything down again. Austin implemented a 2K fine to anyone not wearing a mask.

Our school will be opening as planned in August, but it will be a split between virtual and in-person, with half days on Mondays. We just have to figure out how we are going to be home everyday to either pick them up early or ensure they don't have any IT problems. Our director boasts about flexibility so I will put them to the test.

Right now, it's completely up in the air. Teachers are preparing for in person classes, and online at the same time.

We have the option of full-time virtual as well. That's just not a consideration for me. The boys need to socialize.

I want to put DD in private school. I addressed this with ex dh years ago and he nixed it. But now he is making moves on the custody and school front so I plan on addressing it again. He has no memory and is an idiot.

The boys go to Catholic school and they are doing the two days in, two days virtual thing, with the option to do 100% virtual. They are following the public school district's example, except they aren't postponing the start date. K-4 goes every day, but 5-8 will go two days a week. That's different from the public schools as well.

Both my daughter and Daughter in law are homeschooling their children even though they work part time, it works for them and won’t miss a class.

Hi everyone! Making a quick stop so you know I’m not dead.😁
Canning season has begun! The garden is out doing itself!
Delt with storm damage repairs last week. Nothing is more fun than having windows blown out. The tree debris is cleaned up as well.
DH and I, together without killing each other, got the 2004 Grand Prix running over the weekend. We would have made a great comedy show though.😁
School starts August 13th, no masks!!! The kids are thrilled!

Hi Czech! Good to hear from you, and that you are doing well.

I have realized that I tend to rest my face on my fingers a lot. Right where that tooth was removed. I seem to take my hand away faster than I put it there.
