Need to help the kids pack up. Dad is flying in today. My kids are picking him up in Boston tonight and then heading to the cottage in CT. Dad will be staying there for at least a month. The kids will be there for this week. Dad is excited, the original cottage was built by his father in the 1920's. The great thing is his wife is not coming. We think Dad will not be going back to AZ so that is good. Neither the wife nor her daughter would bring him to the airport but a neighbor did.

I'm glad your dad and kids get this time together. It'll be wonderful for all of them.
We went out to Cracker Barrel last night. I thought "hey, I can get french toast. That should be easy to eat." It wasn't. Now, drowned it in butter and used syrup, which I hardly ever do, but I had to really work to get one piece down. And I ended up breaking the tooth I'm needing pulled. Now, I have a really sharp, pointy tooth that I'm having to be really careful with.
My teeth have me wondering how my bones are.
Not sure what today holds for me. Might go wonder aimlessly around Walmart later. I'm so bored sitting at the house.

Lily, there’s some stuff in the oral care section at the store you can get for that tooth. It’s crack repair or something like that. It will help until you get to the dentist.
SB, it completely broke, I actually swallowed part of it. But it doesn't hurt, and I am getting it removed in a week from Tuesday.
Finally got to eat something with flavor. Had a cup of chili. Happy tummy! For now.😂

Going to go sit in the pool for a bit. It's that kind of a day. Trying to come up with something to do tomorrow. Might go for a drive to a dairy farm and get ice cream.
I may go sit by the pool, too, in a bit. Of course it's only about 5 inches deep, and only Jewel and her duckies fit in it. 😂

It had a pretty good menu but service was slow. And apparently there was some "mechanical failure" so they stopped letting people in and only did takeout/delivery. We made it under the wire it seems. We figure maybe the dishwasher broke. Can't think of what else it could be. Our table was near the door and I saw them turning people away, then we saw a sign on the door when we left.

I saw signs for the blooming onion. I don't care for fried onions or onion rings, so I never had one. I just got a salad and split a lobster tail with #2.
The sauce is the best part! Since I can’t eat a whole one by myself I get the bloom petals for a side. But right now our outback isn’t serving them. Or my beloved French onion soup.
