A cold front came through last night. It's only 73 outside, less humid, and only a high of 90 today! Yay!

I think it's supposed to last until tomorrow. What a treat! smile

Cate is coming down to play.

I should probably trim the bushes in the front of the house, while the weather is cool.

So GG? They are going to go in. Pierce his eye stitch it up and hope it drains. He has to go for day surgery at the hospital. They won't let me in. Annoyed.

Good morning! My company (bless them) decided to give us half day Friday's through the summer. I'm loving it.

We are going to the beach on 8/15. I am counting down the days.

We haven't been able to spend a lot of time at the cabin this summer. It's booked solid. People are just tired of staying at home and since July, it's been crazy.

But other than me working from home, our lives are completely back to normal. G's even playing gigs!

My friend with a small lake house here has been booked since February when the **** show started.

I am going to the beach next saturday for a week. It will be a working vacation unfortunately. My father is down there and my sister and I rented a separate cottage. Even with working a bit it will be a much needed break.

Hardly anyone here does that anymore...

And I'm pretty sure Gatlinburg does not require them. Some friends vacationed there a couple of weekends ago and they posted tons of pictures and no one (even the other random people in the photos) were wearing masks...

They numb the eye, with drops. It will take longer to prep him than do the procedure. And they will give him something, like atavan(sp?), To make him not care.

It all sounds way scarier than it is.

I'd have masks just in case, but, no, as of now, it isn't required in 97% of the places.

We've had a few with covid that attend our church.

All of them had been to various Florida beach towns.

One couple had spent a week in a Panama with about 30 family members in 2 big rental houses. Every one of them are recovering from it.

Meh, I’ve been wearing a mask most the day at work for decades. Doesn’t bother me to wear it a little extra. I’ve purchased some really cute ones. Probably not effective but the mandate just says face covers required. Our mandate is extended until Sept 15th.
I heard it’s super strict in the Florida keys.

Ouch Trudy. I was under during my surgery. I wish him luck. I'm sure they know what they are doing. My face is all broke out too from wearing a mask. I hate it. My next vacay is in Sept. Labor day weekend. Can't come soon enough. My daughter has decided I can't see the baby again. This will change.

I quit for over 2 years. Then I got extremely sick and that's all I wanted. It was all I could taste or keep down.

It's my only had habit now.

Hello momala, oh_four,SB, ikwtd, lily, and njn.

Had lunch with a friend and #1 grandson is spending the night tonight, him and grandpa are battling each other with nerf guns in the basement right now. While he was packing his suitcase little brother was packing his too :(. He isn’t ready for sleepovers yet, after vbs week is over we will bring him home to spend the day with us.

I wasn't planning on Dollywood. I'm still a little concerned about COVID at amusement parks. I have wanted to see Dollywood at Christmas time, but will have to wait on that until this thing is over.

The NASCAR PARK is for older people, mostly. There are certain ones you have to be a licensed driver to drive them. So don't waste your time there.

Every brochure rack will have coupons for tracks all up and down both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

I wasn't sure there would be brochure racks anymore. I know magazines have been removed down here as well as brochure racks. Hilton might remove them from all their chains, I don't know.

If The Comedy Barn is open, I believe kids still get in free, I can't remember the age they cut it off. But it's good, clean fun. No foul language. Nothing obscene.

Ripley's believe it or not in Gatlinburg was revamped after the tires. I haven't been through it, but it was always a great way to spend a couple hours.

This place in Gatlinburg has the best breakfast, in my opinion. Not expensive, and relaxed. We ate there every morning last time we were there. Go early, you'll beat the crowds to everything.
