My friend has a pecan tree in her yard. She hasn’t been in that house very long. She texted me and said she see pods and asked if they were like walnuts. I had no clue. i guess I just thought they fell off the trees looking like pecans. Can someone shed some light?

On the tree, they will look
like clusters (3-4) of oblong
green pods. When they are
ripe, the pod will open and
drop brown shells.

There are instruments that
make picking up the hard
brown shells so much easier -
just google "nut harvesters" -
the simple ones cost about
$20 or so.
