Good morning! It was foggy as all get out when I got up around 6:30. It's slowly burning off but it's still overcast, soupy and sticky. We got lots of rain last night. I have to work today and really do not want to go in. It's a long shift and work late. UGH! I'm so glad I changed my availability to earlier end times but that won't take effect until third week in august as the schedule is already made up until then. And the week before it takes effect, I work late four of the five days. A total switch in my schedule as for over a year I'd been working the early morning shift. I hate when they mess with schedules.

Tomorrow I'm off and the plan is to go rock hunting. I want to line the area I just mulched with some nice mountain stone / rock. Hopefully my travels will prove fruitful.

That's about it for me.

Did my little bit of running around and now to do housework. Not too much to do, I just have to get off my butt. DD and I are going to clean out the closet in the spare room later. It's packed with crap.

I went to the store, Jesse took me, to get stuff for dinner. I want a burger from the grill. Needed some other things, too. Now I'm sitting in my chair, and waiting for the Tylenol to kick in.

That could have been bad.

But, then again, squirrels chew through stuff like that all the time.

Monster used to chew through out lamp cords.

Yes, apparently I didn’t clip all they way through but I squished it enough to break the wires inside. It’s fixed now.

Glad your A/C guy came so

To keep squirrels (and indoor
pets) from chewing on wires,
wipe them with a strong
solution of alum and water,
Once they get a taste of it,
they won't try again!

Also works on the cords for
blinds, and Christmas lights.

Alum is that nasty taste that
you get from blowing up a
latex balloon.
