Good morning, my pretties!

Another hot day here.

Wayne is cutting the grass. I'm hiding in the house.

We'll probably make a Costco run later. That's about it.

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Heat advisories through Monday.
DH doesn't remember San Antonio
ever having temps this high, and
for this long.

I moved almost 3,000 miles to
get warmth like this. I'm in my
element! Of course I love my
a/c, but sitting out on my porch
with a good book and a lovely
iced tea is my idea of relaxation.

Not sure what today holds. #1 appears to have caught a cold. He is congested but otherwise acts fine. So much for masks and hand sanitizer.

I have one more load of laundry and ironing to do to get caught up.

Just got home from the beach. We have no food so I just ran out and got sushi.

Just going to unpack and do the laundry. Great week and it went by way to fast.

This is BF.  Doesn't matter how hot it gets.  Give him a glass of tea and a rocking chair and he will sit on my porch all day.  At home he has a huge front porch and he and his brother sit out there in the morning and drink coffee and talk politics.  In the evening they take out tea and talk politics.

I remember trips to Texas to visit family growing up (always in August) and sitting on the porch with my parents and uncles while they visit.

Afternoon, everyone! Sounds like y'all are having a good day.

I had to work early this morning but was finished by noon. Stopped at a different store to pick up a few things and came home. Where I work handed out gift cards from there to the employees to say "thanks" for the last five months of craziness with the virus and still working through it all. A whole $75. I guess it's better than nothing. I'd have preferred the cash. lol

It's been a beautiful day here weather-wise. Low humidity, overcast with a nice breeze. I'm going to do some light dusting, dishes, change the bedding and make something for dinner.

I like sitting out in the morning when it's cool(er).  I like hearing the birds waking up.  I'm not much of a morning person so I kind of like being left alone to rock and get lost in my thoughts.

He is sticking by my side.  Thanks for asking.  DD said he puked a couple of times and thinks its related to the dental treats we give him.  ON days when she didn't give him one he didn't get sick.  Sounds a lot like humans, we can eat something for years and then BOOM we get sick from it.  Process of elimination I guess.

Well, if it is the dental treats, causing his upset stomach...at least it's an easy fix!smile

I hope it's nothing more serious than that. Fingers crossed!

Does doggy dental treats contain calcium? I know calcium can cause a upset stomach.

I successfully pulled off a surprise 85th birthday party for my dad today. It was a small gathering of only family. Three relatives came from out of town. He was so surprised. The look on his face is a look I’ll never forget. ❤️

OMG that could be it.  1K later in tests and my smart daughter may have figured it out.

Were the doggy treats made in China? I read that some treats, etc., from China were contaminated and have been making animals sick and some die.

Well, we seem to have added another
cat! PrettyKitty showed up about 11
years ago, and hasn't left since. She
(he? it?) is very good at keeping the
mice, snakes, and gophers away from
the house. Then Maverick was left
behind by one of our renters (with our
knowledge). He and PrettyKitty are
having their differences, but I always
side with PrettyKitty - she was here first.
A couple of days ago I heard a very faint
mewing, so I left some extra kibble out.
Sure enough, here comes Bandit, all of
about 6 months old, skinny as a rail,
and gorgeous Siamese markings, with
striking blue eyes. I named him Bandit,
because of his "mask" markings. He's
super friendly, so I think he used to have
another home. He and Maverick are having
hissing contests, and PrettyKitty just leaves
him alone.

Mask markings? In 2020?  Should have named him Corona
