I took today off from work. I just couldn't take management any more. I needed a mental health day! hahaha It's a pretty nice start to the day here. The sun is playing peek-a-boo but it's warmer than yesterday morning. This is certainly not a typical August around here. Cooler nights and mornings with warm days, it's more like Sept or Oct. I'm afraid we're going to have a long, hard winter. I hope not but . . .
Not much on the agenda for today. It's the birthday of one of my friends so a group of us are taking her out to dinner. We're going to surprise her with cake. We didn't let her know we know it's her B-day. Other than that, nothing else going on here.
So I got hacked again. It isn't my ATM card. Its my account. Went to the bank. Since the strip on my ID card didn't work they wouldn't help me. I could scream!

Oh my gosh, Trudy! It's time to find a new bank! This one sucks monkey balls!
Today is my first night shift as a nurse in ten years. Yep, going back to nursing. Gotta pay the bills. Trudy, get a new bank pronto! Sending prayers for GG.

No, they are diced up and put in a mason jar with garlic & dill, with a salt brine poured over, weighted to remain under the brine, and sealed with a fermentation lid. Since it's a little warmer in my kitchen than is ideal, it only took two days before they were to my liking. After they taste as tangy as you like it, replace with regular lid and keep refrigerated.Much healthier than pickled, as fermented foods is great for the gut. I even drink a tablespoon or two of the brine which is good in salad dressing as well. They won't keep as long as pickled, and have to remain refrigerated, but they are easier and I don't have such an abundance where we won't be able to eat them within 6 months.
