It looks like Laura came on land further east than they thought. It sounds like Texas was spared, for the most part. I hope the folks in Louisiana are doing okay.
Trudy updated me this morning. She said the doctor was happy with GG's surgery. His stitches will come out on Monday. He's sleeping a lot, which is probably good.
Thank goodness, for a positive update!
I'm running the sprinklers. Hot and humid, but no rain for us...darn it!
I need to do some laundry. Other than that, another slow day, here.
Good afternoon! Glad the hurricane missed the Texas geeks, glad the surgery is over and GG is doing well.
Been really busy this week, did quite a bit of hiking, playing games and of course eating. Back at the DDs house and took the little girls shopping for clothes đź’•
Glad to hear GG's surgery went well. Yeah! I wish we had gotten some rain. One of my friends is 37 weeks pregnant with their third child and her husband came home and said he didn't want to be married anymore so he packed up his stuff and moved out. My daycare drop in mom called late last night to tell me she's having issues with her mom. Says she's always been the mom instead of vice versa. Also told me her husband is an alcoholic who blacks out. All I can say is one week till vacay. ONE WEEK.

Did you fly, Lindley? I was curious about flights. Were they full, spaced out, wear masks, etc.
 I'm curious, too.Â
Are you still with your daughter, and her family?
Did you fly?
Any tips, if you did, please.
I hope you're having a wonderful time!
We've missed you!
Let us know, when you get home!
Yes we flew southwest, we had to wear a mask in the airport and plane, could take off masks to eat and drink just like in a restauran, only served water and a snack on board the plane. Wasn’t to bad.  Will be heading home tomorrow, having a good time

We flew in the morning early so it wasn’t too bad, unless flying as a couple you had to sit in the aisle seat and window seat leaving the middle seat empty, two years old and up has to wear a mask, my son and family flew on a different airlines out west and it was a full fligh, but I’m sure the same rules applied.
NJN ~ how awful for your friend. I just don't understand marriages these days. Whatever happened to commitment?
I don't think people have the idea that marriage is forever these days. Like when it gets tough I'll just get out. When I've had enough I'll just get out. People used to stick it out for the long haul but not anymore. Now it can happen to anyone anytime.
