Besides the obvious shortages at the retail stores what kind delays have you seen?

I am getting a back porch built : a time frame of 14 to 24 weeks due to difficulty getting supplies.

Friend has been waiting over two months for a new sliding door. She has (had) a door with the blinds between the panes. Lawn guy hit it with a rock.

Cowoker wanted to order a custom made RV. The wait is a minimum of two years.

I haven't faced many. I do know my DD is renovating their house and they are building a new kitchen. They can't get lumber right now. Soda in cans is scarce right now. I drink diet and they are not making diet due to the can shortage.

The roofer I hired said the shingles I chose were in stock, in fact delivered today. but I was lucky. The factories have been only producing the typical colors such at charcoal and black. I chose a color that is charcoal but with a little bit of red speckle to play off my brick.

Oak wood is still available at Lowes so I was able to get a 30' piece to stain and get ready as the header and such for my barn door. Kids will be working the barn door tonight.

Many things I cannot get right now. Don't need much so hard to say.

Edited to add that the sofa I ordered in June has now been delayed until the end of September.  American made but yeah ramp up in the factories are still underway with lots of back orders.

I ordered a grain mill attachment for my kitchen aid back in April. I just got a notice that it has shipped today.

A colleague is having a house built in NC for he and his wife to retire to. They were supposed to move in April. They are still here and now plan to retire in December when it hopefully will be completed.

There was a wave of sales of bikes during quarantine. Same with grain mills. And RVs.

We have had so many shortages on our medical supplies. Strangely though, implants have not run out so we are still doing total joints like crazy.

Oh, contact lenses. My friend had to wait about 6 weeks for the lens for one of her eyes. It was back ordered due to covid.
