New roof is going on. Boy is noisy!

We've had some good rain the past few days and I think it brought us out of our drought.

Just put DH's birthday cake in the oven. Rescheduled the boys' wellness exam for a day when they only do virtual half day school so they won't miss much. Scheduled my eye exam. Will probably go back to glasses due to COVID and the last prescription sucked. But mostly because of COVID because I sometimes touch my eyes when I am wearing them.

We're going to try a new restaurant in our 'hood that we heard was good for DH's birthday. It's a seafood place and he loves his oysters.

Roof is done! That's a monkey off my back. Bet I've paid $1000 over the years to bandaid it. I've never had leaks and won't have to worry again. Next up is the driveway but that can wait years.

My phone is dying. It gets
hot to the touch - not just
warm, but hot! Took it in to
the Verizon store in Seguin.
The only thing they can do
for me is sell me a new one,
$70 plus $20 a month for 2
years. I don't have that kind
of money! I'll try and go to
the Regional Office (in the
same town as my radiation
treatments) and see what
they can do for me. Don't
they sell replacement batteries
any more? Or would that be
too good for the consumer?

Depends on the phone. I’ve had a few that did that. Be careful, it may combust.

Batteries are expensive. Maybe fins a new carrier that will cut you a deal for switching?

It was good. It was more of a tavern. DH & #1 had raw oysters for appetizers, but #2 and I shared a home made pretzel with beer cheese sauce and some fresh chutney and pickled veggies. I just had french onion soup as I wasn't overly hungry after the pretzel. I think I retained 2 lbs worth of sodium from it though. But everyone was happy and it was a nice place. We'll go back!.

There’s a show called tiger king. It’s pretty much a documentary. She’s the competition to the main guy ( Joe exotic ). She’s been acaused by some of killing her missing husband and feeding them to her big cats. They are all some messed up individuals. If you need to watch a train wreck, watch these people.
