Hello, Lindley! DH is getting a haircut this morning then we will go to Cabela's and pick up my new firearm I ordered. Then I need to schedule some lessons at the range with my safety instructor.

Just picked up the Ring flood light / camera system from a friend who scored a great price from Costco on it. Stopped at m favorite farm and picked up apples, have them soaking in water. Making apple sauce today. Need more apples though for apple crisp though.

I have the Ring. I love it. It's addicting. I started out with the doorbell and went from there. Two more cameras and two flood lights later....I have a motion sensor I haven't installed yet. Not sure where to put it.

Ordered my gun from Bass Pro. They shipped it to Cabela's, 45 minute from me. Went to pick it up and it was a nightmare. 4 hours later I'm home with no weapon. 30 min. wait to process. 1 1/2 hours later I check. They lost me from the system, but got me in next. I was processed, they were ready to give it to me pending the background check, which was delayed due to volume. I get it, it happened last time at my local store. So I go to lunch, they are to call me when it's cleared. Never called so I went back in. I waited 20 minutes and they checked. Yes, it's cleared, now get back in line. WTF? So I go to check in again and it's a 2 hour wait. I go back and tell them I was processed already and just need to get the gun. Nope, get back in line. So I came home. I might go back tomorrow when the store first opens and hopefully will avoid the crowds. I'll bet they will find a reason to do another background check and re-process me. I'm so pissed I'm spitting nails.

It's all back ordered due to the knowledge that things will ramp up during the election. My son found some but won't be delivered for another few weeks.

The gun was there, I held it and got the instructions. She was ready to give it to me but the background check was delayed due to volume. I asked if I could go outside and eat lunch. I had not eaten all day and it was 2 PM. She said absolutely she would call when it went through. She never called. After 1 1/2 hours of waiting, I went in and she was gone. New guy pulled me up and said it cleared. Expecting to be handed my purchase like I was a few months ago at my local gun store, I asked if I could have my gun and was told to sign back in. Went to sign-in place and was told the wait list was 2 hours. I flipped out and went back to guy and said I was already processed, cleared, and give me my purchase. Was told there were other customers ahead of me and background was only part of the process. Duh, I went through the other process. I explained I was there at 11:30 (it was now 3:30) and was told they could get to me when they could. I left. I will try to go in the morning when they first open. I already paid over $500 for my gun which is non-refundable and I'm still mad as hell. I have made two different surveys expressing my displeasure and will continue to do so for years to come.

Don't buy a gun through Bass Pro or Cabelas. Buy from local gun shop or on-line and have it shipped to local gun shop. cabelas and bass Pro are f*cked up.

Can you tell I'm pissed? LOL

I haven't been sleeping well. We're all on baby watch. Baby was due Thursday and nothing yet. If she hasn't shown any signs of progress by Monday they're going to talk about inducing. The baby weighs an even nine pounds right now. They don't want the baby to get too big.

I may or may not have flounced out.

I got there before it opened this morning and waited. When the doors opened, I sprinted back to the check in station and was first with no wait. The guy was real nice and I told him what happened yesterday. Didn't blame me. I told him I reached my limit. Got the piece and came home. Now I need a name for her. And ammo. Everyone is out of ammo because of the COVID shutdowns and ammo manufacturing plants were considered non-essential. Probably won't be back to regular supply until next summer.
