I understand there were people at our early voting place trying to prevent voters from voting but the county took care of them.
The guys are here closing our pool. Sad day. I have off with the boys, but DH works today. I'm taking them to the movies later. They want to see that War with Grandpa show. The movie theater we usually go to has closed (Regal) and I don't feel like going to the Tyson's Mall so we're going to a new one. So far, we are the only ones who have reserved our seats.
DH and I went to Calaveras Lake ..
$14 for 2 seniors to go fishing for
perch to re-stock our ponds. ALL
of the handicap accessible areas
were roped off .. no explanation.
Monday should be a low population
on the banks .. most of the people
have been bringing their boats.
Why would you rope off all the
handicap areas? And the pier they
just spent $50,000 upgrading is
roped off. Grrrrrrrr ! ! !

DH and I saw that on Saturday. We both enjoyed it. Lots of pranks, some sweet moments, and an unexpected moral.

It's probably because of covid. Disabled people have been all but completely ignored over the past few months.
One Del Taco here closed both their handicap accessible tables. Other fast foods have closed the only tables a person with a wheelchair or someone who needs a booth with a moveable table could use. Thankfully, the stores have removed their lines to get in but have yet to put their benches back. My hide has been chapped frequently over the past few months. I physically can't stand for more than a few minutes without my hip giving out. Ugh. So rude.

The ending was a let down though. Setting it up for a part 2 but I didn't care for that.
I have a super busy week. I was hoping to vote early. Hopefully I can swing it next week. I wasn’t supposed to get my screened porch for at least 6 more weeks and they finished a job early enough to have time for mine. The workers are here now getting it started. I’m pretty excited!
I did my first solo night at work Saturday night. It went much better than expected. I didn't panic. Working 10-6 screws up my sleep schedule but it's an easy shift to do. Tomorrow I am going out to hold the baby. Feels like forever since I have seen him. When I go out SIL automatically hands him to me. Grandma perks! I bought the cutest matching jammies for all three boys in the daycare for Halloween.
