Good morning, Good Geeks!

Drab and cool here today.

We need to make a run to Costco, and go washer shopping.

Not much else happening here.

How about with you?

I hope everyone has a good day.smile

Good morning! Cool, breezy and overcast here.

Yesterday, I procrastinated in working in the spare room by cleaning out the fridge / freezer and cupboards / pantry. Then, putzed around doing pretty much nothing. hahaha So, today, after lunch, I'm forcing myself to walk in the spare room and get to it. It seems a daunting task but I know it won't take me long and will feel soooo much better when it's done. Right? Right?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Today I will be cleaning the top shelves of the pantry. DS and DD have been using the to shelves for foods, teas, k Cups and such. It is so over filled. I know at the back are years old bottles of booze. So I plan on dumping all that. The bottles are just taking up space.

Trump will be near here soon, Rally starts at 1 and people had been lining up since 5 a.m. So glad I went to the one in August, today's will be probably 3X larger.

Have a great Trump Day

I made some brownies with sourdough starter and did some laundry. We're meeting up with my parents tonight for dinner at the old Brogue pub. DH is golfing in a tournament in the rain.

I want to go to a Trump rally!

Trump once again knocked it out of the park today during his rally. There were so many people there. He has been holding these rallies for the past 3 months and not one outbreak of COVID.

Just did some stuff around the house today. Last week was killer at work, I just needed some chill time.

IKWTDS ~
You know that booze has no
expiration date, right? It may
look a bit off-color, bit it is
still good. Why not use it
for cooking?

The cream ones do expire.  I was gagging while pouring the clumps out.  Plus I don't drink the others. so cast it all off.

DH always stored the cream ones in the refrigerator. I never heard of that before. I keep them in the liquor cabinet, but make sure I drink it.

I haven't been on in forever. So busy between working weekend nights at the nursing home and working M-F at the daycare. On my off time I try to get out to see the grandbaby. Took SS to dinner one day last week. I saw the soon to be ex this week. We went and had some stuff for the divorce notarized. If all goes as planned I should be a free woman in January. It's been so crazy busy these past two weeks. My next door neighbor who is quite the hefty boy plopped down on my love seat and cracked the back in half. SOOOOO mad. I can't really afford to buy new furniture right now but now it is a must. So been picking up extra shifts at the nursing home. I had a lovely covid scare. I have to get covid tested every week for work. I went in to get my test and drove home. As I pulled up in my driveway they called me back and said they had a problem with the test and I needed to come back. Okay, no problem. I get there and the lady comes out in full garb. She explains to me that my test came back positive and they redid it and came back negative and they redid it a second time and it came back negative. The third test was positive. She tells me she thinks the swab was contaminated. So they do two more tests and both of those were negative so I was cleared. FIVE tests. I wonder how much I skewed the stats. A couple days later one of the parents of the daycare kids tested positive for covid. The whole family was in quarantine for two weeks. She's a nurse too. Anyway, been crazy busy here. I did go out and vote though. My son's work has already decided Biden is going to win the election. They are laying people off work now because they expect the economy to crash when he becomes president. Personally, I think it's a bit soon to be predicting the election but it is what it is.

Woohoo! I found the floor in the spare room! lol I'm not totally done but I'm halfway there. Yay *happy dancin* I forgot I had half that stuff. *hangs head in shame* Then, I got the urge to make some chicken and gravy and then thought, why not make some waffles too and make that dinner. Mmm so good. So, that superceded my finishing the spare room. hahaha I'm off work Wednesday so I'll get it finished up then . . . if it's not raining since most of what I'm cleaning up needs to go out in the outside closet. They are things the grands want for when they get their own places.

And yes, I do feel a sense of accomplishment today. lol

IKWTDS, I'm determined to get this room done before winter sets in. I also have a new area rug I want to lay in there that I've had for a year now. lol I've just not had the ambition or will to do it.

I'm glad you got yours done as well!

Apparently it's a thing!  I would share the recipe, but even after baking them 15 minutes longer than the recipe, they are incredibly gooey.  The boys don't mind, they eat it with a spoon but I prefer mine to be a little more solid.
