Good morning, my pretties!

Another beautiful, sunny day here.

I'm going to do some laundry. And a few other chores.

Kroger only had a few turkeys left yesterday, so I snagged one. I don't know if the shortage is real, but I didn't want to take a chance.

Not much else is going on here.

How about with you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Good morning. Typical work day here. It was a chilly start (low 40’s).

My friend said the churches and food banks are buying up a lot of turkeys for distribution. It makes sense due to covid a lot of charities are giving out food.

I'm going tomorrow to get my bird. DH said yesterday they had a good supply so I'm not too concerned. I might just have to look around.

I need to get stuffing ingredients, asparagus, and carrots. Everything else has been taken care. Their is a shortage of smaller size birds since most people are having smaller gatherings.

Cooolllldddd here.

I just went to Walgreens for some Benadryl. The sticker on the shelf said buy one get 2nd one 50% off. The cashier couldn’t ring up the 2nd one. The system had it blocked. She worked some magic and took money off one. She said people are already going nuts.
I’m fine on groceries for a month or so except for fresh things. I’m so over this.

DH doesn't care for turkey, so
I'm going to stuff and roast two
small Cornish game hens, and
make the sides that he likes -
mashed potatoes, green bean
casserole, rolls, and a large
mixed salad. Kentucky Bourbon
pecan tarts for dessert.

DH & the boys gave me a roomba! I need to figure out how to keep it away from my Christmas trees....

They also gave me a phone sterilizer. Every germaphobe's dream! Love it!

Oh fun!! You might need to put some things around the bottom that it will bump into so it will turn around.

I removed the skirt and let it have a go. It paused for 3 1/2 hours to recharge then started up again.

I like my roomba, too! Do you have the app on your phone where you can turn it on, and alerts you if it is stuck? I haven’t turned it on since dd and family got here since granddaughter #2 is scared of it.

Yes, I have the app. It came back on a couple hours later and was running when I came home with the boys. After a bit, it went back to the charger, stopped, then started up again. I sent it back "home" with the app at that point. It was running off and on for almost 7 hours. It said it covered 800 sq. feet which was one (of 3) floor of my house. I think there are so many obstacles and rooms that it took longer to maneuver around. We have a colonial home so it's not open concept like many other homes. There are walls and large doorways to get around. It worked hard but the floors look great!

I've put a "roomba" on my
wish list for DH. He never
knows what to buy for me!

I got one for my parents last year. They run it in their beautiful basement and it always looks so clean down there. They love theirs, too. It's really not that loud either. Not like regular vacuum cleaners.

I would love a roomba too but my apartment is less than 1000 sq ft so it seems senseless to get one. It really doesn't take me long to vacuum at all.

My problem is I don't have a closet to keep a vaccum in on the main level. Which is the floor that gets dirty, even without us wearing shoes. And I hate dragging one up and down stairs, even my light weight Oreck.

There are a lot of robot vacuums that cost a lot less than a roomba. It makes it a lot easier to justify buying.

That is true, SB. I should look into it. Lugging around a big clunky vacuum is getting harder as I age. Perhaps I'll treat myself to a "roomba" type one after doing some investigating. I guess I'd still have to do the steps and such though. hahaha

Look for Black Friday deals! I got one from Kohl's for my parents a couple years ago. I think I paid around $200 or $250 at the time.
