Couldn't get to sleep last night, 

so I got up and made some candied

pecans.  They are SOOO simple to

make, and are great for "generic"

gifts.

CANDIED PECANS – 11/8/19 –   FIVE STARS !

4C whole pecans  1C brown sugar  1t salt  ½t cinnamon  3T water

Cook on medium until melted.  Add nuts, cook 2 minutes.  Cool on parchment 

 The date refers to the wedding I

did the hors d'oeuvres for last

year.  DH and the step-father of

the bride sat on the porch and

demolished a whole bowl of these,

so I'm giving them to him as a gift.

Sounds delicious!

We took my parents to the club for a Christmas brunch. It was held in the room where we got married and also held the boys' post baptism luncheon. There was supposed to be another group but they changed to the noon sitting so we had the room to ourselves. It was lovely!
