I reckon Saturday was a slow day!wink (I never even got on my computer.)

Good morning, my pretties!

Foggy and drab here. But, mild. Heading for the mid 60's later. Which might cause some thunderstorms.

I'm going to make chicken wings later. The kids will come down to eat.

Not much else is happening here.

How about you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Chilly here, in the 30's. It wasn't as breezy as it was yesterday. so it felt milder. DH is still tackling the woodchips we got from the neighbor's tree guy. He gave us half a truckload and it's a huge pile. But hopefully will help keep the weeds down in the north 40 this summer.

We're going out to dinner later. I got my seeds started yesterday.

What seeds are you starting this early?

Lettuce, onions, peppers & tomatoes (in larger starter pots), some herbs. It's all based on the recommended seed start date for my exact location.  I remember last year starting later and wished I had started sooner, because it took longer for harvest time and our spring is really short.  Like 2 weeks.   I still have lettuce outside, too, which survived  snow and frost so far, that I seeded in the Fall.

The people next door have put out about 50 random pots. No kidding, all shapes and sizes. Their yard isn’t fenced but mine is as well as the people behind them. They line the fence across their back yard and my fence on their side yard. No clue what the plan is. Funny thing is the person doing it is the woman that lives (lived) behind them. She was just staying there because the homeowner felt sorry for her because she was homeless. If she moved in next door this will be her 4th residence in the neighborhood. She’s always outside smoking weed with the people next door. No one works. Sigh...

Brought the altar flowers
up to Church this morning.
Super, super foggy, with a
major detour because they
were putting up another
cross-highway sign. They
knew about the "incident"
months ago, but never
bothered to put up "detour"
signs. Thankfully, we had
Google, and managed to get
back on the highway 5 miles
and 20 minutes later.

 Maybe she's growing weed?

I got one of those greenstalk vertical 4 level pots for Christmas so I will put lettuce, herbs, and maybe some peppers in it, closer to the kitchen.  I also ordered a compost holder that you can rotate and it's small so I can keep that closer to the house as well, rather than having to hike up the hill to dispose of kitchen scraps.   It's fine in the warmer months but during winter I like to have things closer so I don't have to trek up a muddy, slippery hill.

I got a composter from the city a few years ago. You have to stir it through an opening in the top. I want one you can rotate. I’ve seen some that you roll around.

I want to grow vegetables. Last year I successfully harvested about 10 cucumbers and 10 green peppers. My yard is 99% shade. 😕

SB ~
Toro makes a rotating
composter, with two
sections, so you can have
compost in about half the time.
