Poor Wayne. I know he is missing Shop Cat already. At least Shop Cat is resting easy now.

The smartest thing Shop
Cat ever did was when she
adopted Wayne and you as
her fur-parents. I'm relieved
that Wayne didn't have to
make that heart-wrenching
decision.

Hugs to all of you.
Thank you, Momala.
Shop Cat lived a long, and interesting life.
And, she enjoyed her retirement, once Wayne brought her home.
I'm so glad, she took matters into her own hands. And spared Wayne that decision. It would have hurt, even worse.
Now, we can focus on Jack Daniels. And getting him healthy again.
I think, that's a good thing. Jack can bounce back, and live many more years. Diabetes, can be managed.
My condolences for your loss ❤️❤️ RIP shop cat 💜💜.
So sorry to hear about Jack having diabetes!! My jake had it for a few years before we lost him. Insulin is easy to give. I’d zap Jake when he was eating. He didn’t feel a thing. That prescription cat food can be pricey as well as the insulin. The pharmacy tech helped us s a little. He was registered as a human (Jake the cat and our Last Name) we also had his age as 18. Then we were able to get a discount from the manufacturer.
Snowed yesterday and of course our downstairs heater broke, repairman is coming tomorrow and hopefully he can fix it right away, had to go to my sons house to babysit, way to cold to keep then here. 🥶

That will be our focus, now.
I first thought you were talking about drinking jack daniels, then realized you were talking about your fur baby. I know he’s in good care.
People said the same thing about Carlee and the extent we went to to treat her seizures. But we do what we have to to take care of our fur babies.
I need to take a minute to brag on myself. I know not everyone cares and not everyone will read this and that's okay. I have conquered so much in the year that I have been separated. When ex DH left me DF offered to marry me right away so I wouldn't have to deal with all the stuff I had to deal with. As scary as it was I said no. I wanted to do things the right way. I wanted to take the time to heal and learn to be independent. So he offered to pay my rent so again, I didn't have to bear the full brunt of it. Again, I told him no. It was important to me to be able to do it on my own. My divorce was recently final and with it went all our joint things like health insurance and a few other things. I'm truly on my own now and I'm so proud that I'm doing it on my own. I am so glad I waited to get married again. I think this is an important step for me. Even though I'm looking forward to marrying my best friend I know good things come to those who wait. Ex DH and I remain friendly. I'm really proud and happy for me right now!

I was just told I can get vaccinated if I want. Uh, no that's okay.
Same here. I might get the shot in 5 or 10 years or not.
I saw a new dr today. He said with my history he was fine with my decision either way I chose. That made me like him even more.
Interesting enough, he said that some crazy high percentage of adults that had chicken pox as a child would get shingles and that shingles could cause more serious problems than COVID. He highly recommended the shingles shot. Who knew?
I had shingles. It was on my left backside. Hip, buttocks. It initially felt like the flu. Crazy achiness, congestion. The next day I saw the rash and knew. I immediately went to the doctor who prescribed antivirals and told me to take advil. The rash stopped and did not get any worse, and the pain was tolerable. Eventually the rash went away but took many months. Doc told me as long as you start treatment within 3 days of onset it's not too bad. Mine wasn't too bad. My parents got the shots and were pretty ill after the second one.

A couple of my coworkers opted to get the vaccine. It's their first round and they said they had severe chills and felt like crap the second night after receiving it.
I felt fine after the first dose, a little crappy after the second. Best advice I’ve heard is to alternate Tylenol and Motrin as soon as you get the shot. Just stay on top of it for a few days.
