Happy Burpday to a woman I admire very much! Hope your day is as wonderful as you are! Enjoy it.

The best news I got today was
that I got to go home!
Saturday 3:00 DH heard me fall
(I was at the computer). I couldn't
answer any of his questions, so 9-1-1
took me to the local hospital. I was
still unconscious, so they transferred
me to a large hospital outside San
Antonio. I don't remember anything
from 3:00 until after 7:00 on Saturday.
Sunday they did all sorts of tests - X-ray,
ultra sound, MRI, echo-cardiogram.
I had a little difficulty getting words from
my brain to my tongue, but they say that
that will resolve itself in a short time
(weeks? months? don't know). No real
physical problems, just a little weaker on
the right side, but I attribute that to the
surgery and radiation.
Anyway!
Thanks for your wonderful good wishes.
I'm tired right now, but I have a wonderful story.
Tomorrow is time enough.
Oh momala! Iβm so sorry that happened to youπ’ glad you are alright and are now home and I hope you get plenty of rest and donβt push it. I hope despite everything that you have a Happy Birthday ππππππ₯³ππ»
Holy crap, Momala!!! I'm so glad you're okay and home. Very scary! Sheesh! Even with all that, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Lots of hugs to both you and Wayne.
Here's the wonderful story I referred to yesterday.
When you want your meal delivered, you call Dietary, give them your name, room number, and date of birth (to avoid mistakes). Monday, when I ordered breakfast, I gave them my name, room number, and 2-8-XX, at which point the Dietary Aid exclaimed "Happy Birthday!" What a delightful way to start the day.
When I ordered lunch, I again gave them my name, room number and 2-8-XX, at which time the afternoon aid again wished me a happy birthday. She even told me I could order a slice of angel food cake, which I did. Ten minutes later, the nurse came in and said I was being discharged! Yippee. But I asked her to cancel my lunch order - I hate wasting food, and once the food leaves the kitchen, they can't give it to anyone else. Five minutes later, a runner from Dietary knocks on the door, and delivers the cake. And a card signed by all the workers! Absolutely fantastic! Patient care is VERY high on their list!
