Good afternoon fwm! Happy that the snow is melting, we still have snow, but it’s starting to melt happily. I hope Jupie appointment goes well for her and you. Hope you have fun with Cate.
Not doing to much to much today, grand kiddos will be here in another hour, son and daughter in law are going to do a little shopping and going to a nice steakhouse to celebrate belated Valentine’s Day.
Good afternoon! Enjoy your Cate time and grand kiddos!
We are just taking it easy today. The roads are still icy to walk on, but DH was able to run to the store to drop off a prescription. As a PSA-GoodRx can find you great deals on pharmaceuticals. If he had dropped his prescription off at CVS it would have cost $200-$300 but at Safeway Pharmacy, it will cost about $17.00. Quite a savings! His doctor recommended GoodRx.
Afternoon, Peeps! It's a beautifully sunny day here, albeit cold and a bit windy. The snow is not melting.
I'm not sure why but the kid downstairs insists on turning on the bathroom exhaust fan whenever his GF leaves the house. I wouldn't mind as much but it runs for four, five, six hours at a time and shoulds like it's chipping away at the beams it's attached to, which is right at my floor. Needless to say, it echos throughout my apartment. Asking him to turn it off is fruitless. Making a ton of noise up here and turning up the TV doesn't clue him in either. It's maddening, maddening I tells ya! UGH!
I use Good-RX all the time for my scripts. Saves me a ton! Love it.
Jupiter has an eye infection. The Doc gave her a shot, and some antibiotic drops for us to put in, 3 times a day. He said if it doesn't look better in a couple of days, to bring her back.
I had a good time with Cate! Have fun with your grands, Lindley!
Good tip on the Good Rx, FNW. I'm the only one who takes anything. And my eye drops are so cheap, it probably wouldn't save me anything. But, it's still good to know, just in case!
One more night of getting up at 2:30 am. to watch The Tennis!

He's probably smokin' the wacky weed, FS! Just a guess!
Why do you go talk to him? He isn't taking the hint. You need to tell him it's bothering you. JMHO. Good luck!

Well, I know he's smoking the whacky weed. He has a script for it for his tourettes. However, they've been living here for about six months and it wasn't until they had a huge fight that he started doing this when she left for any length of time. Prior to that, nothing.
I've actually spoken to both of them about it. They just do not care. They met each other as patients in the psych ward at the hospital in 2019. She got pregnant in 2020 and now they have a daughter three months old. It's not a good situation. CYS has been called on the several times. Neither set of parents visit them at all, not even to see their granddaughter. Very strange, imo.
I hope jupie's eye clears up soon.
ETA: the fan's been running for amost four hours now. I just keep praying it doesn't get hot and start a fire. Those fans are not made to run for long periods of time I'm sure.

Been there, done that. The idiot property manager tells everyone to call the cops. He refuses to do anything other than push paperwork around on his desk.
Speaking of cops, the boy downstairs called the cops on me claiming I "woke the baby three times". That fan ran for nearly seven hours while the GF was out. Right before she came home, he turned it off . . . after the cop left. So, the cop shows up, the boy sends him to the wrong apartment. Woman in that apartment, a friend of mine and one who got involved when the couple had their major meltdown a couple weeks ago, calls me to find out what's going on. I explain it to her. She said she could hear the fan too and she was trying to sleep for work tonight. Anyway, a few minutes later the cop rings my bell. He looks like he's about 12 but asks to come in and I refused him entry. He just looked at me. Anyway, I explained loudly, as I knew the boy was listening at his door, that the fan was running for that long, how loud it is and that it's a fire hazard to run that long and that if they cannot respect my peace and quiet, I'll return the favor. I explained I've tried talking to management and the boy and his GF but to no avail so . . . Cop said he totally understood and didn't blame me. I also explained to the cop about the incident a couple weeks ago when the boy had the baby out in the snow with no coat or anything on and he was screaming while they were fighting. And I explained that they both have "issues" mentally.
Anyway, the fan is off now that the GF is home and I've turned down the TV and stopped banging around. Of course, now I have a major headache. UGH Sometimes I truly hate apartment living.
The good news is, with all the banging around, I managed to get lots done in the spare room, which, unfortunately, is directly over the baby's room.
I hated apartment living as well. And the condo was great until the guy downstairs sold to a couple who used their treadmill every night around dinner time.
I actually had to laugh when the officer said the guy's complaint was that I "woke the baby three times". I'm done being quiet and tiptoeing around in my own home so as not to disturb them if they're unwilling to reciprocate.
I wonder how many more times they'll call the cops? hahahaha

What a tool!
Make all the noise you want, FS!
And ten times that, every time he turns that damn fan on!
Well, the GF left for I assume work at 1:30 and at 1:33 the fan was turned on. It's been running since then. I've banged around in the spare room and apparently woke the baby because I could hear the "dad" yelling so I yelled back. I've been making some really good headway in that spare room for the last two days. Made several trips to the dumpster and slammed the front door coming in going several times. I've also had the stick sweeper running in the spare room for hours and have been doing more shredding in the living room.
I'm waiting for the cops to show up at my door again. hahaha I'm sure he'll call at some point.
