Happy Wednesday, my pretties!

Another nice day here, before a cold front comes through and brings rain tomorrow. High around 70.

Cate is coming down to play. We'll bake some cookies and play outside.

Not much else is going on.

How about you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Hip hip hurrah for my local
County government!!!!

Today, from 8:30 - 3:30 they
distributed MREs - meals,
ready to eat - for free! Plus
cases of bottled water. So
many people lost all their
refrigerated food, and much
of their frozen food due to
the rolling blackouts that
plagued Texas.

One of our friends lost 28
of her 32 chickens, because
she couldn't keep the hen-house
warm enough. And Biden only
gave "disaster" help to 77 of
Texas' 250+ counties. What?
The other counties didn't have
a problem with temps in the
single digits?

Biden's an idiot!!! But, he's sending out 25M masks! Hurray for the MREs! Bummer about your friend's loss.

It was an absolutely beautiful day here. We got into the low 50s, the sun was out and so were all the crazies at work. lol I can't tell you how many times I just stood there either laughing at customers' inability to comprehend the selfscans or just shaking my head at them. Couldn't wait for the day to be over.

It's been all quiet on the homefront . . . for now. I literally carried a handsaw over to the maintenance office and asked the maintenance guy to either do something about the fan below or I would immediately go saw through the floor to disconnect it. hahaha It worked. He went over and they actually let him in. He said part of the mounting bracket was vibrating off the one wall. He said he fixed that and the fan itself is quiet. I also explained that I'm concerned about fire as this kid lets it run for seven hours at a time. Maintenance assured me that there's no chance of this overheating. That it's like any window box fan. I told him he didn't know what he's talking about. Bathroom exhaust fans, IMO, are not designed to run for seven hours. Anyway, the GF hasn't gone to work again (she may only work weekends) so we shall see how this goes. I haven't heard them turn that fan on even to go to the bathroom or shower since maintenance was there. YAY!

I definitely have Spring / cabin fever. I just cannot wait for all this snow to go and the flowers start popping out, buds on the trees, etc. It cannot come soon enough!

I think it depends on how the fan is wired. I knew someone whose fan burned their house down. But it was discovered it wasn't wired to the proper breaker. If it overheats, the breaker will shut it down. I have come home from work and the maids left the fan running all day and we were fine. I had a boyfriend who had the fan run all night because he needed the "white noise" to sleep. So far, your apartment hasn't burned. I would try not to worry about it.

I think the poor maintenance guy was afraid I was going to start chopping off his limbs if he didn't do something. Hahahaha Hopefully this works. I haven't heard the fan go on yet.

Uh, those 77 counties were BLUE counties.  All the others were RED counties.  Coincidence much?

If that is true - Texas needs to sue. That violates the equal protection clause.

I don't think Texas has 77 blue counties.

25-30 would be my guess.
