Wow, my pretties! March is about over!

Drab and cloudy, but no rain. A cold front came through. Our high will only be around 63 today. Yes, I switched back to heat. Again.wink

Cate is coming down to play. I think I'll pick up a kit, so we can color some Easter eggs.

I ordered a joint supplement for Jack. His sugar is under control. But, his back legs are weak. The Vet thinks a supplement might help, so we'll give it a try.

My arm is a little sore from the shot. But, other than that, I feel fine.

Not much else is going on here.

How about you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

A strong Norther just blew in -
gusts of 30-40 mph, but no
rain in sight.

Finally getting back on my
feet, after the second Moderma
shot. Bad as my reaction was,
it's still better than getting the
virus.

Just went on our MA Covid site. No appointments. Ugh. I'm not hauling GG to Boston.

Poor guy, diabetes in each eye.

DD is getting her first shot today at 4:16, lol. They are so precise. I’m wondering what her reaction will be since she had the virus 6 weeks ago. Work stinks. Certain coworker has a stick up her but lately and I’m sick of it.

I'm surprised she would even need the vaccine since she had it already, and so recently. I would think her body already has more than enough antibodies alerady.

If you had the virus you are immune for about 90 days.

NH DOH called me and said they have the J&J and just need my PCP to schedule it. I can have only J&J due my reactions to certain allergies. Seeing my PCP Monday.

Hope Jack feels better.

How does that work?  How long would the vax maintain immunity?  This doesn't make sense to me.

I guess they fig out the immunity based on people who had it and then were exposed again. I’m sure there was a clinical study.

If DD had the virus, and is recovered,
is she able to donate plasma?

I believe you, I just don't understand the efficacy of the vaccine then if having had the actual virus itself doesn't provide lasting immunity.

Pfizer says the efficacy of the vaccines is six months at best, which means, just like with the "regular" flu, shots will be recurring.

I never got the flu shot.

I've never had the flu, as far as I know.

I don't go for yearly check-ups, either.

My eye doctor, is about it. (Glaucoma, I'm fine. Had it since I was 44. The eye drops have kept it in check. Yay!)

I've been on the wrong end, of bad medicine, more than once. I'm not very trusting, of medicine. cry

I got the vaccine, mainly, to protect the young ones, who can't get it, yet.

Cate will turn 4 in June. She can't get the vaccine.

So, the more adults, who spend time with her, and can get it, might help to keep her, and young children, safe.

(Not to mention, the dust up I had with my Mom, 3 or 4 weeks ago. She's already had, both shots, back in February. But, when I mentioned coming up for a visit...She told me, anyone who hadn't had the shots, wasn't welcome.

Umm, Mom, you had the shots, the chances of you getting Covid are slim, to none.

No! You can't come up! Unless you're trying to kill me!

Really, Mom...being around you, is the bigger risk, to me. You won't get it. But, you could possibly, pass it on...

She's 97, going on 98. Why now, she would be so worried, is beyond me.confuse

I went up to visit her twice, last year. Before any vaccine was available.

We had a great time! I took her all over the place, being as safe, as could be. And, no one got sick.)smile

I'm mad as hell, at my Mom.furious

I caved, and got the vaccine. "So I won't come up and kill her."confuse

"Sigh"

Thanks for letting me vent.

I needed that. Thanks for listening, my friends.
