Hello, cold, wet and rain. Watching prince Phillips funera, at least till the grandkids get here. Grandson’s soccer game so far hasn’t been cancele, so I’m watching the two littles so they wouldn’t be out in the cold.
I watched the funeral as well. DH is in day 2 of tournament so I popped two big bowls of popcorn and watched Sherlock Holmes with the boys. It was fun. Nothing good in the theaters so we made it a home date.
Evening! I dreary, chilly, overcast, breezy day here. UGH! I'm guessing rain is in the forecast. I worked a short day, just four hours. Was happy to get home after running a few errands. Needed to return some stuff to Amazon so dropped off at Staples. Then, went to Giant for a couple of things. Currently sippin on a cuppa and will heat up the fried chicken I just bought at Giant. There's is soooo much better than KFC.
Referring to my post yesterday
about the search for the armed
felon in my neighborhood, he's
been captured! LOTS of cooperation
between neighbors and sheriff's
department. My neighbors look out
for each other. Love living in South
Texas ! !
So I had a bit of a health scare. Knew my BP was really high. I had been working knowing this. Yesterday I felt it was really high so I went to the clinic. At first they didn't want to see me. Wanted me to come back later. I basically insisted that they take my BP before I left. So they did and it was 228/108. Then they wouldn't let me leave. They pumped me full of BP meds till it went down a bit and let me go home with a new script for BP meds. I'm taking it and so far so good. I've been in the normal range now for a full day. Work was mad that I called in. I guess they didn't care if I stroked out at work. But I'm headed in today so things should be good. Hopefully my BP won't shoot up with all the crazies I deal with.

It’s crazy how employers want people to work when they are sick!! If you had gone in and had a health crisis they would have asked why you came when you knew your BP was elevated. I’m glad you have gotten it down, that’s a really bad number.

Ain't that the truth! If anything had happened to me they would have said it was my fault for coming in. DF BEGGED me to stay home. He was like you CANNOT go into work with that high of a BP. So I took the day off. It went down to 160/96 by the end of the evening that night. The next morning it was 112/79 but it's been running in the 140's and 160's ever since. They said the meds could take up to a month to fully take effect. Right now I'm keeping a log of my BP in the am and pm. I take it randomly in the day to see what it is though too. It scared me straight that's for sure. If it doesn't go down more I see them increasing the meds though. I've been feeling bad for awhile and couldn't really put my finger on it. It go so high though I started having panic attacks. Glad all that is over. My mood overall has increased a lot too. I guess because I don't feel so bad all the time.
