It sure is good to be home! The trip was a blast...my Mom had such a great time.
I left Durham Thursday morning at around 3:50am., (Central time), and got to my hotel in Meridian, MS at 4:10pm. About 700 miles in just over 12 hours. Not to bad considering the traffic going through Atlanta, and one long stretch of road construction. That probably set me back 45 minutes or so.
I left the hotel at 4:05am yesterday, and rolled into my driveway at 12:15pm. Just over 8 hours to come 538 miles. Not bad at all! And, the rain didn't hit us until about 3 in the afternoon. I had a bit, on the way. But nothing bad. Thank you, Lord.
My little Beast ran 3635 miles on this trip! He deserves a rest! LOL!
Still tired from all the driving. It will take a couple of days to work out the kinks.
Now, to get back in the swing of things.
It looks like the rain has finally stopped here. At least for a day or two.
You make me want to take a road trip! Well, we are in a couple months. Not as far as yours, but far for my DH who comes from a family where a 3 hour drive requires an overnight stay.
Raining here. We need it but I would like a sunny pool day. Hopefully Monday.
Good morning. Got my second covid vaccine yesterday. Only side effect so far is utter extreme exhaustion.

Good morning! Glad you had a great time and a safe trip fwm! I drove through Atlanta once and it was awful. I’m going to Raleigh this coming week. Hello fnw and njn hope you feel more energetic soon.
Cold, gray and wet here, no yard work today either, so I may clean out some closets.
Wayne is busy cleaning the garage...and I'm busy watching him!
LOL! Sorry honey...already had my shower. I don't plan to work up a sweat, and have to shower again!
Cate is coming down at 11. I'm going to play with her for a couple of hours so the kids can get out. Running errands, maybe? I didn't even ask. I'm just happy to see her!
DH's nephew and his buddy invited
us for a cookout this afternoo. I
made potato salad and deviled eggs.
I had some (red) caviar left over
from a party I catered, so I topped
half of the eggs with caviar. I find
it amazing that local stores are
carrying caviar. 4 oz jars, red
(trout) or (salmon) roe. Yummm!
