My Mom is in tears.

I'm madder than hell.furious 

Some lowlife thief, stole the hanging baskets of flowers from Mom's front porch last night.

That's what I get for making her house, the prettiest one on the street.cry

But, I have a plan to get her some new ones. I/we have friends who will help.

And this time...we'll wire them down...to make them harder to steal.

I just ordered a Ring doorbell for my Mom. Our friend Barb, has a cousin who will install it. Won't bother having Mom get the app on her phone. I think my sister Trudy, would be the best one to keep an eye on that. (She's more tech savvy than I am. Added bonus...Trudy is a night owl!)

I'm also going to let Mom's great nephew know what happened. He lives two houses away from my Mom, and takes her trash and recycling out for her. His wife has pretty baskets, too. So, I want to tell them, so they can be on the lookout.

She's putting up a fight on getting new baskets. I think she's afraid of being disappointed if they get stolen. But, if Ed wires them down real good...hopefully, that won't happen.

I sure wish I lived closer, right about now.

Doing the best I can, from 1300 miles away.

*Sigh*

 Her back porch isn't as nice as her front porch. She enjoys sitting out front, where she can wave at the bus driver as he goes by. And say hello the folks out for a walk, or walking their dogs.smile

Thanks for letting me blow off a little steam.

I also called the Campbell police, to let them know about the theft. 

The officer I talked to was very nice. He told me they would drive by Mom's house more often, after dark. That made me feel a little better.smile

I love my ring, too. We have three cameras and motion lights. It's kind of addictive.
