Morning!! Swept the kitchen floor and started a load of laundry. I think that’s about all I’m going to do in the house. It’s already 85 degrees out with a heat index of 97. At 9 am.
We have a local guy in the olympics. He’s doing weight lifting, not sure which category. He’s been in the local media for years. He was 13 when I first heard about him, not sure of his age now. If you see CJ Cummings cheer for him!
Some covid drama going on at work. The numbers are going back up so the hospital is reinstating restrictions and cracking down on asking staff to get vaccinated. It isn’t required but they really want everyone to take the jab. There is a drawing for money for those who a vaccinated. Now those who CHOOSE not to get the shot are asked to fill out a refusal form. It pretty much releases the hospital from any liability if someone got covid at work. One doesn’t have to fill out the form, but if they CHOOSE to not fill out the form then they face consequences like no end of the year bonus. People are going around saying they are being forced to get the vaccine. They can’t accept the consequences for their choices. Sooner or later I’m sure it will be required, it’s just a matter of time.
Oh, and someone that chose to not get the vaccine had to stay home a few days and test before coming back is pissed because the hospital didn’t pay for those days off. Everyone else that was vaccinated didn’t have to miss time. Once again, consequences of her choices.
Yes, they are forcing people to get vaxed. They are thinking about making every federal employee get the jab. Now I got the jab already, so it doesn't affect me, but still scares me that it is being mandated in various ways.
Good morning, my daughter sent my husband a text about them having more covid patients, she really wants us to get the shot, it bugs my husband because he doesn’t want it, but I told him she loves us and is worried. The problem is that don’t trust it, there is another vaccine novax I believe that is working on a vaccine that is using the virus, not live, kind of like they make the flu virus. That one or like that one, I would take.
We are required to get the flu shot every year. The only way you can get out of it is with a medical exemption. In that case you are required to wear a mask at all times until April.
The covid non vaxxers have been told they must wear a N95 mask all day. They are whining about that. We all wear masks anyway, just not the N95 unless it’s a known covid patient. And yes, one can breathe through a N95. I’ve worn one with a mask and a shield over it and survived.

I wouldn't get the J&J. They are finding too many side effects from it.
Got home from vacay two weeks ago. Got laid off due to health reasons but I'm okay. Spending time with the grandson. Every Sunday morning is my time with him. I babysit so mom and dad can do the grocery shopping and meal prep for the week.

We drove through many states. Spent one night in Amarillo, one in Colorado, and three in Billings, Montana, and then repeated the trip home. We went to Custers last battle and saw the graves there. We also went to Yellowstone National park and drove through the trail/route. It was freaking beautiful! Everyone who is going to get married should spend three days in the car with their SO so you can see how you feel about them afterwards. LOL We actually had a blast and only got in one fight. He told me to bring my favorite pillow and blanket with me so I could sleep in the car. Especially if my BP dropped. So I did. When we were leaving Montana he was rearranging the car and put my pillow on top of the truck. Yep, pulled out and left my favorite pillow laying in the parking lot. I still won't let him live it down.
As far as my health, I'm feeling fine right now. I'm wearing a heart monitor at present time to monitor and try to figure out what's going on. It comes off tomorrow. I had to wear it for two weeks. I'm really tired of wearing it because the tape itches and you can't let the shower spray directly on it. Found out I have a clogged tear duct in my eye I had surgery on and may have to have surgery to open it back up. I go Wednesday for my mammogram. I feel like a human experiment most days. Nobody is quite sure what to do with me! :) Not sure what the future will bring but hoping to figure some things out and try to get back to normal. Whatever that is.
