Good morning fwm! Hope you have a nice weekend. Got the boys fed and now they are all at Church. Already bought my turkey, cranberry sauce and berries, plus canned pumpkin. I heard they are short supply this year. My nail tech is finding it hard to get supplies in. Happy I got the main Christmas gifts ordered and received. I’ve never ever shopped this early for Christmas.
I need to buy a few things still for Christmas. I have some of the shopping done, but not all. DH wants to get the boys purple mattresses for their beds. They love ours and have asked for them. And DH is due for a new desktop computer, so that's what I plan to get him. It's going to be an expensive Christmas. But we used points and credits for our Christmas vacation so there's that.
#1 won the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) Cross Country for the entire Arlington Diocese yesterday. There were coaches from the area's Catholic high schools there and one said they would "throw some money at us" to get us to go. They already have their hearts set on another school but it was nice to be wanted! The coach for the school he wants to attend was at the finishing line rooting him on and gave him a school t-shirt that says on the back, "Pain is just weakness leaving the body." He thought that was pretty cool.
#2 had his confirmation retreat yesterday. The bus didn't get back until almost 11 PM so he was pretty tired. It sounded like he enjoyed it though. It was a good weekend to have it, setting out clocks back and getting that extra hour of sleep!
