Fall gloom here today it looks like. I'm hoping the sun will come out later. The leaves are so beautiful but starting to fall off now. I need to go foraging to get some greens and things to decorate. My big trees are up but not decorated. That will wait until after Thanksgiving. I ordered another string of lights as the strings I bought last year are already 50% out. And I can't find the remote to make them twinkle so I have to do it manually with the little box. So this time I just ordered a cheap 300 bulb strand from Home Depot. If they go out next year I won't be out as much. I did put the half lit strands up just to give some twinkle on the tree in the living room.
This is why I put my trees up so early. To iron out the light issue before I decorate. (Last year I added the lights after I decorated and it was a lot harder to keep from breaking ornaments). I know, first world problems.
I had lunch with my friend on Saturday, the one I share a birthday with. We get together every year and have for the last 20+ years. Neither of us have aged during this time, of course. LOL
This week #1 has his surgery to remove his wisdom teeth. I will be making lots of jello and pudding for him to eat this weekend. Oh, and it is my birthday on Saturday so we won't be going for steak since he won't be able to eat it. My parents are taking us to the pub Wednesday to celebrate, before his surgery.
