FWM - I'm not around much but I'm here for you if you want to commiserate about your mom. My mom has been in and out of the hospital and rehab since October 2021. She's currently back in the hospital with sepsis. Thus far, the nurses say they're waiting to see if the antibiotics will work or if she'll need to be moved to ICU. She needs more care than my dad can provide. They can't afford assisted living. Thought we found a viable option but it isn't what we hoped it was. So, I hear ya. Loud and clear. It sucks.

Most of us have had to do
some sort of "care" for our
aging parents. I understand
why Mom doesn't want to go
to assisted living. Many times,
it is so terribly regimented, our
parent feels like they no longer
have the option of making
decisions on their own, such as
daily activities.
