First DH passed away in 2007.
I asked the attorney who drew
up our wills to put it in for probate.
He said he'd call me if I needed to
do anything else. That was back in
2008.

When we put 20 of our acres up for sale,
we discovered that he had only started
the process! You have four years (in
Texas) from date of death to file the
will for probate.

And the attorney is now a resident of
the federal penitentiary ! And he's
been disbarred!

A full month, and $2,000 later, our
new attorney and we appeared before
the County Judge, who signed all the
papers for us. Guess it's a good thing
he recognized me from our Chili Cook-
offs, and the Community Association.

We can now go forward with the sale
of the property on the 14th.

Wow @ attorney! One I hired to handle my personal injury case after a car accident was disbarred as well. He was the boyfriend of a co-worker. It's scary to know someone like that was handling our affairs!

Glad things are working out for you now.
