In a couple hours or so, we'll have a new vehicle. Last year was the year of truck repairs. The check engine light came on again last month and it's different components of the emissions system - which caused most of the repairs last year. Between that and DS outgrowing the backseat, we called it and bought a new vehicle. The payments are going to hurt but we'll make it through. I'm confident God will provide the money as He always has.
DS is super happy to have room to actually stretch his legs now. I'm happy to have AC again. The AC in my truck can't keep up with the summer heat. This will be my second vehicle. I bought my truck in 2001 - first and only owner until now. I had 21 years in her and look forward to 20+ years in the new vehicle - a 2022 GMC Terrain in marine metallic. I'm happy to be sticking with GMC. My truck is a 2001 GMC Sierra and only really started having major issues in the last couple years.
Momala - Oh, I will! I had nearly 247k miles on my Sierra. She still has a lot of life left in her. My FIL is busy fixing her up.
DS thoroughly enjoys having working AC. He also enjoys having his own charging port in the backseat. The three of us had fun today exploring all the features.
We have a consultant looking for a residential treatment center for #1. He might be placed somewhere before Easter. I'm very sad, but we don't feel we have any other options. He could be across the country from home.
