Ran hard looking after Wayne for the first seven weeks after he broke his ankle.
He couldn't use a knee scooter, so I rented a wheelchair for him. Drove him back and forth to work. About killed my back getting the wheelchair in and out of the Beast...but, we survived!
He can finally walk and drive, so things are getting better.
He goes back to the doctor on Dec 7th...and they will schedule the second surgery for the following week. We don't want to get hit with deductibles twice.
(Although, we have yet to pay a penny out of pocket. The one bill we got from BC/BS said it came to $82,000. They discounted it by quite a bit...but we don't know how much Medicare will pick up. Haven't heard anything yet. LOL! Oh well, I'm sure they'll catch up with us, one of these days.)
Cate is off next week for Thanksgiving break. So, I'll have a little helper to get ready for the feast.
Actually, the break wasn't that bad. It was all the torn ligaments in his ankle and the top of his foot, that really screwed the pooch.
(When I broke my leg, I was allowed to start walking after ten days. What Wayne did to his, was worse. Who knew?)
Starting to plan our Thanksgiving feast. I took the turkey out of the freezer this morning. Had to go with a 20 pounder this year. I usually go around 17, but I couldn't find one.
Momala, how are you doing? Any news from your doctor?
I haven't seen DE, but I haven't been around lately. I hope she's doing okay.
My oncologist is closely
monitoring my lab numbers.
He's trying to keep from starting
chemo again.
Our temps have been hovering
around 40-42 for the next week
or so. I hope it warms up for
Saturday, when my bell choir
rings for Christmas in Comfort.
We're scheduled for 4:00, so it
should be the high for the day.
We all use special gloves to
protect the bells, so at least
our hands will stay warm.
Good morning! I hope Wayne heals fast fwm, good to see you DE and sorry that you have been sick, many Prayers for you momala 🙏🏻 Hello chef and fnw. I hope you all had a nice thanksgiving.
Been a busy month in a half for me, went to Monterey and Lake Tahoe for our 40th anniversary, had a great time, came home then had at least 23 boys stay with us for a weekend for a Church event, then grandchildren staying with us for a few days while mom and dad were out of town and just got back from North Carolina after spending thanksgiving with my daughter and her family.
#2 and I went through a bout of the flu a few weeks ago but we are fine now. DH got a mild version as well. #1 is doing great. Thank God. He even found his way back to God and asked for a cross necklace for his belated birthday gift.

Such great news for your #1 son fnw and sorry you all have been sick :(. Three of my grandchildren and DIL are sick with strep throat and fortunately they were able to get antibiotic, th pharmacies in this region is close to run out of antibiotics.
They wouldn't even test #2 for it because they said it's just a cold except for premature babies. They tested him for the flu though and it was positive.
