The boys finish up early June. #1 will have summer school which will last a couple weeks, morning only, and they both have summer jobs lined up!

Yes, first jobs. #1 will be a lifeguard and #2 a park attendant at the water park.

Hello chef! Hello fnw, sounds like your boys are going to have a busy summer. Just got back from New York City with dad and girls had a blast.

How was it, Lindley? Is it as bad up there like the media portrays?

I didn’t think so, I know the subway incident happened while I was there, but people seemed to go about their business, I only saw three homeless people, a lot of europeans visiting the tourist sites, people were helpful for the most part. I was only concerned about one man in a subway and I was definitely keeping my eye on him, but he never looked our way fortunately.  I honestly felt more nervous in St.Louis when I go there to see ballgames.

I bought a small wallet and kept it in my front pocket, kept combs, small umbrella and phone in the pockets of my raincoat.

Interesting, Lindley. I'm glad you were safe. Weather permitting, I will wear a crossbody under my long jacket, when riding the subway in unfamiliar areas. I also have a money/passport bag that is flush with my body that I'll wear under my blouse.

I believe they kept the homeless and immigrants away from the tourist parts of manhattan and wealthier parts. We didn’t go near the Bronx or other areas. Central Park was beautiful.

It's definitely prudent to keep an eye out for suspicious people when traveling. Lots of scam artists these days.

Hey all. Lindley, I envy you. I have always wanted to go there! Just to visit though. Well, I broke my leg. No idea how or why. I'm going for a bone density test soon to find out why my bones keep cracking. I'm on bedrest for six weeks. I didn't get to go to my daughters for Mothers day which made me really said but we talked on the phone at length and shared some cute sweet stories and cried a bit. It was actually nice. She's a good mom.

Did you break your leg before or was it something else? I’m sorry that happened to you. I know that is extremely painful.

DH and I were due for shots at our doctor visit this past Monday. My right arm is starting to calm down. My left arm is still all sorts of pissed. DH's arm is sore but improving.

School is out next week. I'm counting down the days.
