And just like that, another month is gone! This year is sure flying by. Welcome, November!
It's in the 50s in the mornings here. I had to find my pants a couple mornings ago. Brr! Still getting up to the mid to high 80s in the afternoons though. What I call the summer sun is gone for the year at least. The summer sun feels like it's boring a hole through your skin even in the shade. It's very intense. The winter sun is much more pleasant. You can sit outside and enjoy it without feeling like its trying to bore a hole through you.
For those of y'all who change their clocks, I think that's coming up soon. Pretty sure I saw something about it on FB.
My dad's birthday is this weekend. He chose Red Lobster to celebrate. It'll be his first birthday without my mom. Still can't believe she's gone. Her birthday would've been next month. That's gonna be hard.

While in Texas I believe I truly experienced the true Texas culture, went with my nephew and his family to a ranch where his boys and friends practiced bull riding 😳 ate the best taco in my entire life that was grilled on a bbq brisket mixed with sausages no idea what the seasoning he used on what looked like homemade tortillas and some kind of homemade salsa, they were so friendly even the kids came up to us to shake our hands to welcome us, always said yes ma’am to us even my nephew’s, sat on chairs dirt with manure. It was fun.
Hi, Lindley ~
Glad you got to experience
some good 'ol Texas hospitality!
Small Thanksgiving for us, just
DH's nephew, who is living in
his trailer on our land. Shrimp
****tail, baked ham, au gratin
potatoes, green bean casserole,
fresh rolls, and pineapple upside-
down cake (DH's favorite). DH
helped a LOT ! My walker made
it easier to carry multiple things
to the table, so I didn't have to
make so many trips.
Happy that both momala and fnw had nice thanksgiving, my husband and I had left overs tonight, tomorrow I plan on putting up the Christmas tree and decorating for Christmas.
My three trees are up and decorated and I still have the boys' trees to put in in their rooms. Maybe this week I'll get to that.
Someone turned up the coldness on my fridge so all leftovers were frozen and ruined. Oh well. I need to keep a better eye on that. My fridge is the worst one I've had, but I seem to go through them every couple years so I hate having to buy another. With a cabinet over the top, my choices are limited due to space.
Oh no! I’m so sorry fnw, leftovers are the best part of thanksgiving, at least for me it is. My son has our old refrigerator in his garage we bought in 1991. Still works great.
